Yelapa is a one-of-a-kind paradisiac fishing village with no more. Let’s go and adventure this amazing town while riding down the south of the bay on your own private boat. Don’t forget about snorkeling, swimming at secluded, virgin beaches, lunch at the beach, trying out the local crafted moonshine (Raicilla), hike to the Yelapa waterfall (20min), and a lot more.
Los Arcos, declared a Refuge Zone for the Protection of Marine Flora and Fauna in 1975 by the then Ministry of Industry and Commerce, is one of the most amazing places in the Bahia (bay) de Banderas has to offer. Great spot for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding and taking lots of pictures! Home to a large variety of tropical sea life and endemic birds and ducks.
One of the best beaches in Puerto Vallarta is Colomitos, a short stretch of sand with legendary beauty. No roads lead to this hidden gem. Only accessible by boat or hiking from Boca de Tomatlan (45min). Considered one of the most beautiful and smallest beaches in the Bay.
Majahuitas Beach is the place par excellence if you desire to just turn off your cell phone, forget about the clock and completely disconnect from it all – except nature and relaxation, of course. This place has some of the best snorkeling all around.
Yelapa is a small fishing Village, in the South part of the Bahia (bay) de Banderas, where about 1500 people live, from which roughly 500 are now foreigners from all over. This beautiful village has a very colorful town, filled with jungle, leading to the waterfall there is a lot of local businesses and vendors. The beach is perfect for swimming and having great lunch and drinks.
Only by boat — no road reaches Yelapa. Our private charter sails south from Los Muertos Pier along the coast, stopping at Los Arcos, Colomitos and Majahuitas on the way.
6 to 8 hours, with a 6-hour minimum — it's a full day. On our smallest panga that's $461 USD total for the whole boat with up to 4 guests, never per person. The calculator on this page shows your exact total.
No — it's about a 20-minute walk from the beach through the colorful village, passing local shops and vendors. Comfortable shoes are all you need.
Yelapa's local agave spirit — a hand-crafted 'moonshine' the area is known for. You can try it in the village during the tour.
Lunch is not included — you eat right on the sand at Yelapa's beach restaurants. Bring cash for food, drinks and tips. The boat has a cooler and you're welcome to bring your own drinks.
